Wildcats Edge Huskies for 2-0 Semifinal Lead

April 25, 2025 - The Wildcats pulled off another dramatic playoff win, 2-1 over Rouyn-Noranda to take a 2-0 Gilles-Courteau Trophy semifinal series lead heading into Quebec next week. Trailing 1-0 after two periods, the Cats stunned the Huskies with two goals 40 seconds apart, by Natan Grenier and the game-winner delivered by Preston Lounsbury, his 4th of the playoffs. April 25, 2025 - The Wildcats started slow Thursday night but rallied in the final 40 minutes to take Game 1 of the QMJHL semifinal. Game 2 goes tonight at the Avenir Centre. Cats Top Huskies in Final Four Opener

April 24, 2025 - The Wildcats opened the QMJHL semifinals with a thrilling 5-3 victory over Rouyn-Noranda before 4600 fans at Avenir Centre on Thursday night. Centreman Gabe Smith was a dominant force, setting up three Moncton goals to lead the attack. A Huskies powerplay goal by Bill Zonnon cut the Cats lead to 4-3 before Julius Sump hit the empty net at 19:06. April 24, 2025 - Your Halifax Mooseheads were awarded the third overall pick for the 2025 QMJHL Entry Draft during Wednesday's Draft Lottery, held in Montreal, QC. This year's draft will be held June 6-7 at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City, QC. Halifax owns a total of 11 selections in the 12-round Entry Draft including two second round picks and two eighth round picks.
