Right-Handed Pitcher Kenny Carrillo Signs with Owlz for 2025

April 23, 2025 - WINDSOR, Colo. -- The Northern Colorado Owlz have signed right-handed pitcher Kenny Carrillo for the 2025 Pioneer League season. This will be Carrillo's second season in the Pioneer League. He made 18 appearances, seven of them starts, with the Great Falls Voyagers in 2024. He posted a 7.90 ERA ERA with 47 strikeouts in 49 innings. Prior to his time in Great Falls, Carrillo played two seasons in Mexico with Tigres de Quintana Roo, putting up a 6.00 ERA in 19 appearances. Carrillo played collegiately at Biola Univers... Outfielder Ashton Thomas Signs with Owlz for 2025

April 22, 2025 - WINDSOR, Colo. - The Northern Colorado Owlz have signed outfielder Ashton Thomas for the 2025 Pioneer League season. Thomas played three season of college ball at Flagler College before transferring to Auburn University-Montgomery for his senior season in 2024. He hit .315/.447/.493 in his season at AUM with a pair of home runs and 24 RBI in 30 games, helping the Warhawks reach the NCAA South Region tournament. April 17, 2025 - WINDSOR, Colo. - The Northern Colorado Owlz have signed right-handed pitcher Alain Lopez for the 2025 season. At just 22 years old, Lopez has experience playing in Panama and his native Cuba. He posted a 4.63 ERA, striking out 11 in 11 2/3 innings for Matanzas in 2023. April 16, 2025 - WINDSOR, Colo. - The Northern Colorado Owlz have signed left-handed pitcher Joel French for the 2025 season. Standing at seven-feet tall, French has had what he descrines as an "unorthodox" playing career thus far. He pitched at Linfield University in Oregon in 2023, but made just a trio of appearances without allowing a run. French recently had a tryout with the Florida Caribbean Baseball League, as well.
