April 21, 2025 - Avon, OH - Two key pieces from the 2024 pitching staff - LHP Jack Eisenbarger and RHP Sammy Tavarez - will be returning to the squad in 2025 after re-signing with Lake Erie.
Jack Eisenbarger had an incredible season with Crushers last year and had plenty of Frontier League accolades to show for. In his first year with Lake Erie, Eisenbarger sported a 2.91 ERA in 111 1/3 innings. April 16, 2025 - Avon, OH - The Lake Erie Crushers have signed RHP Dylan Spain and OF Caleb Upshaw to contracts just ahead of the 2025 season.
Dylan Spain is a 6'6", 205lb right-handed pitcher who was selected in the 10th round of the 2021 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves out of the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Spain spent his collegiate career as a starting pitcher, then transferred to the bullpen across three levels of the Braves' system in 2021. April 14, 2025 - Avon, OH - The Lake Erie Crushers continue to bolster their 2025 roster with the signings of 2024 Intercounty Baseball League MVP Seth Strong and 23 year-old Venezuelan Derek Vegas, a former Miami Marlins farmhand.
Seth Strong, 28, has one of the more impressive resumes you'll find in independent baseball. The corner infielder recently won the Intercounty Baseball League Most Valuable Player Award in 2024 with the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers.
