April 19, 2025 - April 17th - 9-3 W vs Lancaster Sound Breakers The Boxcars opened their Spring Training campaign at Meritus Park against the Lancaster Sound Breakers - a pro travel team from California. Mike Kickham got the start on the mound, with a new pitcher appearing every inning. Jorge Martinez stood out on the bump, striking out two batters and putting in a solid shift. Boxcars Add Four Pitchers

April 14, 2025 - Hagerstown, MD - The Flying Boxcars added four more pitchers to their 2025 roster.. RHP Jack Weisenberger Jack Weisenberger joins the Boxcars from the Athletics organization. In 2023, Weisenberger pitched 16.2 innings at the AA level, posting a 3.78 ERA, striking out 18. Last season, he also made 8 appearances for the AA Midland Rockhounds, where he notched a 1.35 ERA while sitting down 10 batters. Boxcars Select Martinez First Overall

April 10, 2025 - Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars selected Quinton Martinez, first overall, in the Atlantic League Draft. The Atlantic League, along with Baseball America and IndyBall Jobs, hosted Pro Days in High Point, NC, on April 8th and 9th. After the conclusion of the Pro Days, managers from each Atlantic League team made at least one selection in a draft of available players. Boxcars Sign Martinez, Robinson, Richardson

April 3, 2025 - Hagerstown, MD - The Flying Boxcars added three more players to their 2025 roster, including former Norfolk Tide, Errol Robinson. RHP Jorge Martinez Martinez, a starting pitcher from La Habana, Cuba, joins Hagerstown after spending 2024 in Mexico. With Quaretero in 2024, Martinez posted a 6-3 record, striking out 69 batters in 70 innings pitched.
