Rogers Adds Two More Players

April 23, 2025 - (Gary, IN) The Gary SouthShore RailCats made a couple of moves today inking a deal with former Atlantic League Champion Jake Hoover and backstop Julio Cajigas. Hoover is a Michigan native that was an All-District player at Armada High School, he attended Hillsdale College and in his final season he put together a .370 batting average, crushing 10 home runs and had a 1.119 OPS. April 17, 2025 - (Gary, IN) With the offseason wrapping up and spring training approaching for the Gary SouthShore RailCats, Field Manager Lamarr Rogers made another move by signing a former six-year big leaguer, Cody Reed. Cody Reed is a left-handed pitcher from Mississippi. When the artillerist was in high school, he set numerous school records in strikeouts, wins, innings pitched, batters faced, starts, and shutouts. Olivero Set for Second Stint with SouthShore

April 3, 2025 - (Gary, IN) Almost five weeks away from the American Association's 2025 opening day, the Gary SouthShore RailCats welcomed back Right-Hander Deyni Olivero back to the organization after a brief stint last season. Olivero is a 27-year-old and was born in the Dominican Republic. The pitcher's professional baseball journey in 2015, when he signed as an international free agent with the Arizona Diamondbacks. March 28, 2025 - (Gary, IN) The Gary SouthShore officially announced that they have returned 2024 American Association All-Star relief pitcher Nate Alexander. Alexander is a 28-year-old right-hander who hails from Lake Jackson, Texas. He attended Brazosport Christian School where he was first-team all-state in baseball, football and basketball.
