
Worcester Sharks Host "Be A Leader" Night On Friday

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced today that the Worcester Sharks will host the 2nd annual "Be a Leader" night presented by the Law Firm of Abigail Williams & Associates when the Sharks host the Abbottsford Heat on Friday, February 26 at 7:05p.m.
The Sharks will wear special "Be a Leader" jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds to Sharks Charities. In addition, The Law Firm of Abigail Williams & Associates will honor two local "Leaders" for their terrific work in the central Massachusetts community.
The game also marks the return of fan-favorite Riley Armstrong to the DCU Center. Riley ranks 2nd among the Worcester Sharks in games played (208), 5th in points (112), and 4th in penalty minutes (300). Armstrong was also the Sharks Man of the Year in 2006-07 and 2007-08 and was extremely involved in the "Be a Leader" program.
Created at the start of the 2007-08 season by the Worcester Sharks and the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, the "Be a Leader" program is designed to provide students in grades 4-6 with leadership tips to enrich their lives as well as others around them. Sharks players, in addition to Finz, the Sharks' mascot, are present at the school assemblies along with the principle of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, Abby Williams.
Each participant in the program receives one ticket to an upcoming 2009-10 regular season Sharks home game and a "Be a Leader" promotional item compliments of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates.
