Westchester Knicks News Release
WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced the name and jersey number of the team's new mascot today at the Westchester County Center.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, General Manager Allan Houston, and the Westchester Knicks Dancers were on hand to introduce Hudson, who will wear jersey number 914 in homage to Westchester County's area code. The "fleet- footed, hard-slammin' pup" is the cousin of the New York Liberty's Maddie. His go-to moves include the "reverse-slam,"Â "T- shirt toss,"Â and the "paws-for-a-picture."
Hudson will be introduced to fans for the first time at the team's home opener tomorrow, Nov. 19. The Westchester Knicks tip-off its third season at the historic Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY at 5:00 p.m. facing the Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets' new affiliate.
Hudson will perform at all home Westchester Knicks games as well as various events throughout the Westchester community.
