Washington Mystics Announce 2024 Regular Season Schedule

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Women's National Basketball Association announced today the 2024 regular season schedule. The Washington Mystics will tip off the season at home versus the New York Liberty on May 14 at 7:00 p.m. The 2024 Mystics season will be presented by Capital One.
During the 2024 WNBA season, teams will play 40 games, with a four-week break to accommodate the 2024 Olympic Games. A copy of the Mystics' schedule is attached and a link to the Mystics schedule release video can be found here.
The Mystics will open the season by playing four of their first six games on the road, including a west coast road trip against the Los Angeles Sparks (May 21), Phoenix Mercury (May 23) and Seattle Storm (May 25). The Mystics close the regular season with a three-game homestand facing the Atlanta Dream (September 15), New York Liberty (September 17) and Indiana Fever (September 19).
This season's home schedule includes nine afternoon games against the Seattle Storm (May 19), Dallas Wings (June 22, June 23), Las Vegas Aces (June 29, July 14), Minnesota Lynx (August 17, September 8), Connecticut Sun (August 31) and Atlanta Dream (September 15). The Mystics' longest homestand will be from June 22-29 when they host Dallas back-to-back, Connecticut and the reigning WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces. In the month of June, Washington plays a season-high seven games at home, including the only back-to-backs of the season with home games against the Chicago Sky (June 6) and Indiana Fever (June 7) in addition to the back-to-back Dallas games.
The team's longest road trip will be from July 2-10 when the team faces Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Minnesota and Indiana.
The WNBA Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase will return for its fourth consecutive season with a new format. The in-season tournament consists of each team playing five qualifying games against their conference rivals, a decrease from 10 qualifying games in previous years. The two teams (one Eastern Conference and one Western Conference) with the best qualifying records will play in the Commissioner's Cup Championship Game on June 25. Washington will play two qualifying games at home and three on the road against Eastern Conference opponents spanning from June 4-11.
All Mystics home games, with the exception of the team's game versus the Phoenix Mercury on July 16, will be played at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. Washington's 11:30 a.m. matchup versus the Mercury will be played at Capital One Arena for the team's annual Camp Day game. The game will conclude the first half of the season with the team set to resume at Minnesota on August 15 following the Olympic break.
Prior to the start of the regular season, Washington will host the Minnesota Lynx for a preseason game at the Entertainment & Sports Arena on May 8 at 11:30 a.m. which will also serve as the Mystics' Demystifying STEM game presented by KPMG. The Mystics' full preseason schedule, along with theme nights and promotions, will be released at a later date.
