Vancouver, B.C. - Mitch Jones scored four times and added five assists for a nine-point night to help lead the Vancouver Warriors to a 14-10 victory over the New York Riptide in National Lacrosse League action on Saturday night at Rogers Arena.
Keegan Bal kicked in with a strong night as well, lighting the lamp twice while notching six assists for an eight-point evening. Jordan McBride carried his strong play from last season into this one, scoring four goals as well.
Logan Schuss tossed in a pair of goals, Riley Loewen had his first in Warriors colours and Captain Matt Beers lived up to his Bobble Head Night billing, pouring in a goal and adding three assists for a four-point game which included a number of thundering hits that stirred the crowd of 5120 at Rogers Arena all night long.
Aaron Bold made 41 saves to pick up the Warriors first win of the season to lead the Warriors to their first win of the season.
Next up for the Vancouver Warriors, an afternoon date with the San Diego Seals on Sunday December 29th. Game time is at 1 PM.
