
Veteran NBA and Current ABA Great Armon Gilliam to Play Charity Basketball games in Russia

PITTSBURGH, Jun 23, 2006 - 13 year NBA veteran, and current ABA all star Armon Gilliam announced that he will participate in upcoming charity games in Russia. The Pittsburgh native, and UNLV legend will join several other NBA, and ABA greats to make the trip overseas.
Gilliam who scored over 10,000 points in his NBA career Averaged 23.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in his ABA inaugural season, leading the Pittsburgh Xplosion into the ABA playoffs. The Bethel Park Graduate also was awarded the most valuable player in the 2006 ABA All Star game. Xplosion C.E.O Richard Hersperger stated "We are delighted to have Armon represent our team and city overseas showcasing his skill for charity"
