Vegas Knight Hawks Announce Signing of Five Players for Inaugural Season Roster

VEGAS - Vegas Knight Hawks General Manager and Head Coach Mike Davis announced today, December 22, five roster additions for the team's inaugural season.

Jay'Shawn Washington is a two-year IFL pro who has played with the Iowa Barnstormers and Louisville Xtreme. The tight end/fullback has totaled 311 yards receiving along with 3 touchdowns in his IFL career. He played his entire collegiate career at Southern Mississippi by way of Marreo, Louisiana.

Defensive end/outside linebacker Warren Thomas is entering his first professional season after playing at Midland University in Nebraska. During his college career, the 6'4", 235-pounder recorded 11.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and a touchdown.

Offensive lineman Taylor Tappin last played for the Aviators of the Spring League, starting all six games in which he played. Before turning pro, he played at Sacramento State, where he started 26 games in five years at the program and earned Big Sky All-Conference honors.

Kicker Nathan Criswell earned IFL Special Teams Player of the Week last season while playing with the Iowa Barnstormers when he recovered an onside kick that helped lead his team to a comeback win. He played at Iowa Central and was named Junior College All-American and All-Conference.

Wide receiver and Las Vegas native Kasey Allison played at Dixie State. In his college career, he produced 1,400 yards receiving to go with 11 touchdowns. The 24-year-old went to high school at Canyon Springs High School in North Las Vegas.

The Knight Hawks are expected to continue building their roster. The team will take the field for the first time at The Dollar Loan Center on March 18, 2022.
