Three Home Games in Four Nights for Mallards
March 1, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL)
Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards play three home games in four nights starting with a 6:35 p.m. face off tomorrow night against the Utah Grizzlies, continuing with the return of $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X Friday when the Mallards meet the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:05 p.m. and culminating in Star Wars Night and a Genesis jersey auction when the Mallards take on the Wichita Thunder Saturday evening at 7:05 p.m.
Tomorrow night's contest is the Mallards' final Wednesday home game of the season and thus also their final 6:35 start.
$1 hot dogs and beers are available at iWireless Center concession stands during all Friday home games. In addition, the Mallards have once again partnered with Metro to provide transit service between Augustana College and downtown Moline for all Friday home dates. As part of Metro's unlimited ride program, Augustana riders can use their Augustana ID as their fare. Mallards fans can also take advantage of the team's safe ride alternative, Uber, and get their first ride free (up to $20). First time Uber users can use the code qcmallards16.
The Force will no doubt be with the Mallards Saturday night, an evening that will see the Flock wear special edition Star Wars-themed jerseys against the Thunder. After the game the jerseys will go up for bid in a live auction to benefit Genesis Family Connects. Genesis Family Connects makes early visits to new mothers and babies, a practice statistically proven to reduce the number of emergency department visits for babies.
Saturday's event is the second of the Mallards' two Genesis jersey auctions this season. A November auction raised nearly $17,000 and over the last two decades Mallards jersey auctions have raised over $800,000 to benefit Genesis Health System charities.
After the conclusion of the postgame jersey auction Saturday night, fans can head to Blackwater Jack's Saloon at Stoney Creek Inn for a postgame party at which Mallards players and the Mallards Ice Girls will be among the guests. The postgame party will also feature selected drink specials. Stoney Creek Inn is located at 101 18th Street in Moline, just blocks from the iWireless Center.
The Mallards have instituted reduced "Playoff Push" pricing for prime sections and made additional $10 tickets available for all remaining home games. Fans can now purchase seats in four center ice sections- 103, 104, 114 and 115- for just $24- down from $28- or get four tickets in those areas for the family-friendly price of $80. The Mallards have also increased the number $10 upper level tickets available for the remainder of the regular season.
Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including this week's contests- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $24.
