BILOXI. MS - In conjunction with Minor League Baseball, the Shuckers are honoring America and help raise much-needed funds for a worthy cause this Independence Day holiday weekend by wearing specially designed "Stars & Stripes" caps from New Era Cap Company. The Shuckers are one of 115 teams that will wear the specialty caps as part of fundraising and awareness initiatives for Welcome Back Veterans, an organization dedicated to addressing the ongoing needs of military personnel and their families. The Shuckers will again be wearing these hats during tonight's series finale with the Mississippi Braves at MGM Park. Tickets for tonight's game are officially SOLD OUT.

Minor League Baseball, in conjunction with its licensing partner Major League Baseball Properties, will once again donate 100 percent of the proceeds from cap sales to Welcome Back Veterans as part of its contribution to the program. Since the program's inception in 2010, MiLB has contributed annually to the veterans' organization. The Shuckers' caps have a red, white and blue version of the Biloxi "B" home hat logo over a flag-waving, striped background. A limited number of these hats can be purchased in the Shuckers Shop at MGM Park, or the Shuckers Team Store located at 820 B Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.

"The Stars & Stripes" cap program is a way of showing our appreciation to the men and women who have served and made great sacrifices for our country, while at the same time helping a tremendous organization that provides treatment for veterans and their families," said Minor League Baseball President & CEO Pat O'Conner. "On behalf of all of Minor League Baseball, we would like to salute and thank all of the current and former members of our armed forces for their service to our country."

Tickets for tonight's 6:10 pm series finale with the Mississippi Braves are officially sold out. Tickets are currently on-sale for the next homestand at MGM Park, which begins on Wednesday, July 15 and runs through Tuesday, July 21 against the Chattanooga Lookouts (MIN) and Mobile BayBears (ARI). The next Post-Game Fireworks Show will be Friday, July 17.

In addition to purchasing tickets at the MGM Park Box Office, fans may also use the options listed below from Ticketmaster.
