Second Chance Beer Company to Release Limited Fleet Can

SAN DIEGO, CA -?Second Chance Beer Company and the San Diego Fleet today announced they have teamed up to create a special edition Seize the Game IPA. The beer will debut on Thursday, April 4 with a limited can release party from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Second Chance's taproom in the Carmel Mountain Ranch community of San Diego, Calif.
Seize the Game IPA, curated in celebration of the Fleet's inaugural season, is a game-day edition of Second Chance's fan-favorite Seize the IPA. The collaboration features a dark grey can adorned with a Fleet logo and player image. The can calls all fans to "get off the sideline and seize the game."
"We are excited about this collaboration and really proud to see our logo and likeness captured so well on such a popular product," Fleet President Jeff Garner said. "Seize the Game is an appropriate fit with our players, who are making the most out of their opportunity in the Alliance of American Football (AAF), as well as with San Diegans, who have a deep passion for football."
Fleet players, coaches, staff members and all fans are invited to Second Chance's tasting room to try Seize the Game on tap. Additionally, Special Edition Fleet cans will be for sale on site, as well as at Second Chance Beer Lounge, the brewery's tasting room in North Park. All season ticket holders will receive a 25-percent discount when they show their April 14 home game mobile ticket at the time of purchase. All ages are welcome to enjoy the festivities, which include a kids' corner and adult games, but you must be 21 years or older to try the limited release beer.
"As a lifelong football fan, the Fleet partnership is a personal dream come true," reveals Second Chance Beer Company CEO, Virginia Morrison. "In addition to giving San Diego and Fleet players a 'second chance' for football here in town, the AAF is working on ways to make the game safer for players and more engaging for fans. Our brewery values community and bringing Seize the Game IPA to Fleet fans and ours is just another way we show it."
The two companies first partnered in February, when the Fleet named Second Chance Beer Company their Proud Craft Beer Partner. In addition to serving beer in over 1,500 restaurants, bars and retailers throughout San Diego County, Orange County and Arizona, Second Chance products are also available throughout SDCCU stadium, at the club level, in select permanent stands and during the pregame Dock Party for all Fleet fans. The core beers distributed are Seize the IPA®, Clever Hoppy Name® Pale Ale, Mulligan Amber, Over-the-Line® Lager and Tabula Rasa® Porter.
