Phantoms Announce Relay for Life Night Jersey

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (September 4, 2009) - The fans have spoken, and the Youngstown Phantoms' Relay for Life Night special edition garb has been chosen.

Voters on www.youngstownphantoms.com selected jersey No. 1, which is attached to this email. Relay for Life Night will be Saturday, Oct. 24 when the Phantoms take on the Tri-City Storm at the Covelli Centre at 7:15 p.m.

The Phantoms will take the ice Oct. 24 decked out in the fan-chosen jerseys featuring the world-renowned Relay for Life purple ribbon. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.

In the spirit of Relay for Life Night, Phantoms fans are asked to wear purple. Buttons with the Phantoms' logo and the Relay for Life ribbon will also be sold.

$3 from every ticket purchased for this year's Relay for Life Night will go directly to the Relay for Life team that sells the ticket, and proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit all Relay for Life teams involved in the fundraiser.

Relay for Life is a fundraising event hosted by the American Cancer Society, and is now also held in many other countries. It is an overnight event designed to spread awareness for cancer prevention, treatments and cures, celebrate survivorship and raise money for research.
