OREM - The Raptors broke out of the gates early tonight as they took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Grayson Long got the start tonight for the Owlz, his second time facing the Raptors this season. He went two full innings only allowing one earned run. However, the bullpen was not able to hold on as the Raptors continued to score in four of the remaining seven innings.

Ogden's starting pitcher Chris Powell got the nod tonight going 3 and 2/3 innings allowing one earned run and striking out five. However, with the Owlz taking the 4-3 lead in the fifth inning, the win would go to reliever Andrew Istler, moving him to 2-1 on the season.

The Owlz were unable to maintain the lead as the Raptors scored four runs of their own in the top of the sixth inning. It started with a two-run homerun by Jimy Perez, his first of the season. Then three batters later, Gage Green hit another two-run blast to put Ogden ahead 7-4.

Back-to-back RBI singles in the bottom of the seventh by Jeff Boehm and Sam Koenig cut into the Raptors lead. However, Orem was unable to score any more runs on the evening, securing the 10-6 Raptors victory. Cody Pope was credited with loss, his first on the season.
