NC Courage Midfielder Ashley Sanchez Called up by USWNT

CARY, N.C. - North Carolina Courage midfielder Ashley Sanchez has been called up by the United States Women's National Team for a pair of friendlies against reigning World Cup Champion Spain during the October international window. Sanchez was last named to a USWNT roster in January 2025.

The return to the USWNT comes amid a career year for Sanchez, who leads the NWSL Golden Boot race with 20 goals and tied the NWSL single-season scoring record during the Courage's match against the Utah Royals on Sunday. Sanchez had already broken the single-season record for an American player, previously 15 goals, when she scored her first career hat trick in the Courage's dominant win over the Chicago Stars.

Sanchez has three goals and four assists across 28 caps for the USWNT.
