Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - Fresh off a pair of wins against fellow playoff contenders North Carolina FC and Charlotte Independence, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will welcome Lexington SC to Future Legends Field for the second time this season on Wednesday.

Hailstorm are winless against the USL League One newcomers this season, playing them to a 2-2 draw in Lexington in June and dropping a 4-3 contest to them in Windsor last month.

"They've beaten us in the past, so we have to make sure we're ready to come out and do what we have to do to get three points," Hailstorm defender Noah Powder said.

Most of the damage Lexington has done against Northern Colorado has come via forward Ates Diouf, who has scored five of his 10 goals this season against Hailstorm FC.

"He's been excellent, best player on the pitch the first two games. We need to stop him," Hailstorm FC head coach Éamon Zayed said.

Despite picking up just one point from six against Lexington this season, Hailstorm have gotten two goal each from forwards Billy King and Trevor Amann, the latter of whom just set the single-season goal scoring record in USL League One.

Tomorrow's match is set to kick off at 7 p.m. at Future Legends Field.
