Grand Rapids Gold Acquire Justin Turner from Available Player Pool

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Gold, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, announced today that the team has acquired Justin Turner from the available player pool.
After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, Turner played for the San Antonio Spurs in the 2021 NBA Summer League. In October of 2021, the Westchester Knicks selected Turner with their fourth overall pick in the 2021 NBA G League Draft and was later waived before the season began. On November 15, 2021, Turner signed with the Motor City Cruise and played two games during the 2021-22 season. Turner played in four games during the 2022-23 season and was waived by Motor City Cruise on December 19, 2022.
The Detroit native played for Bowling Green State University and was the first player in Bowling Green history to surpass the 2,000 career point mark. He averaged 19.3 PPG and 4.4 APG as a redshirt senior.
Turner looks to make his Gold debut tonight as the Gold take on their in-state rivals, the Motor City Cruise at 7pm EST.
