NEWS & NOTES:

Welcome to the Jungle: The Wheat Kings finish their Western Road Trip in Medicine Hat when they battle the Tigers. The Tigers are coming off a 4-2 loss at the hands of the undefeated Red Deer Rebels Friday night and look to build off their strong effort. As for the Wheat Kings they were able to edge the Lethbridge Hurricanes 2-1 Friday night. Despite the victory, there was a lot that needed to improve for the Wheat Kings like their offensive zone time. Head Coach Don MacGillivray was critical of the lack of play inside the Hurricanes zone and stated that they will need a lot more in order to defeat the Tigers Saturday night.

Oh Danny Boy: The hottest player on the Wheat Kings roster who isn't named Carson Bjarnason has to be Nate Danielson. After starting the road trip without a single goal scored, the 17 year old has scored 4 goals and added a couple assists generating offense at the right times.
