Former Green Bay Blizzard defensive back Ryan Bowers is a contestant on the eighth season of The Bachelorette. The 31 year old Bowers is one of 25 bachelors attempting to impress bachelorette Emily Maynard. The show premiered this past Monday, May 14th on the ABC Television Network.

Bowers played in Green Bay for one season in 2005. The Blizzard finished 9-7 that season and earned a Wild Card spot in the playoffs. Bowers had 102 tackles, including 86 solo and was third in af2 with 10 interceptions.

Ryan attended Presbyterian College and signed with the AFL's Indiana Firebirds in 2004. In addition to the Blizzard, he spent time with the Atlanta Falcons in 2005 and played for Amsterdam of NFL Europe. In 2007, Bowers was with the Orlando Predators of the AFL.

Currently, Bowers owns and operates Athelite Academy in Evans, Georgia. Athelite is a training facility that focuses on training the serious minded athlete of all ages to get to the next level.
