TROY, NY --- The Vermont Expos and Tri-City ValleyCats saw their Monday night New York-Penn League game at Bruno Stadium suspended because of rain in the top of the fourth inning with the score tied 5-5.
The game resume from the point it was stopped in the fourth inning as a nine-inning game on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. noon. The two teams will then play the regularly-scheduled game, a seven-inning game, shortly after the completion of game one.
Former University of Vermont pitcher Jamie Merchant is scheduled to start game two on Tuesday against Vermont's Dan Generelli, making his first start of the season after five appearances out of the bullpen. The Expos return home on Wednesday to start a three-game series with New Jersey.
