College Park, MD - December 3, 2019 - The DC Defenders revealed their 2020 uniforms and helmet to players and coaches at a minicamp kick off dinner tonight hosted by Head Coach and General Manager Pep Hamilton at the University of Maryland.

"Our new home and away uniforms are sleek and crisp with a nod to the traditional while incorporating modern design elements that underscore our brand identity," said Team President Erik A. Moses. "Our entire organization is excited to see them today, and we can't wait to witness the Defenders make their debut in these striking uniforms at Audi Field in front of our home fans on February 8."

The Defenders' uniforms reflect the team's primary colors of red and white. Team will have the option to mix-and-match jerseys and pants.

Helmets: The helmet shell is Defenders red with a white facemask, and highlights elements from the team's primary logo: Three stars and crossed lightning bolts. Players will choose from a selection of highly-rated helmets.

Home Jersey Features: Red body and sleeves, featuring an embroidered white lightning bolt on both sleeves. Additional embroidered elements include the Defenders' stars and crossed lightning bolts on neckplate, the Defenders team name in white on front chest, and the XFL league mark on the right chest. Player numbers on front, back and shoulders in white. Nameplate will feature player surnames in white font.

Home Pants Features: Red body with white spandex side panel and red lightning bolt.

Away Jersey Features: White body and sleeves, featuring an embroidered red lightning bolt on both sleeves. Additional embroidered elements include the Defenders' stars and crossed lightning bolts on neckplate, the Defenders team name in red on front chest, and the XFL league mark on the right chest.
