Cowlitz Black Bears Kyle Garlick Named West Coast League Player of the Week

Cowlitz Black Bears Outfielder Kyle Garlick (pictured next to #9 Billy Flamion and catcher after hitting a home-run for the Black Bears) of the University of Oregon went 12-30 with 8 runs scored, 3 doubles, a homer and 7 RBI's.

The freshman right-handed outfielder from Chino Hills, California is hitting .350 this summer with 9 doubles, 2 home-runs and 21 RBIs for the 19-17 Black Bears who went 4-3 this past week.

The Black Bears are currently in third place in the WCL West Division, 3.5 game behind the Corvallis Knights and 1.5 games behind the second-place Bend Elks.

This past spring, Garlick hit .250 with 2 HR and 21 RBIs for the Ducks.

The Black Bears next game is tomorrow night. It's Azteca $2 Tuesday and the start of three games against the Kitsap Blue Jackets. It'll be Kelso Schools Spirit Night as well. That will be followed by Burgerville Family Night on Wednesday and Estetica Day Spa Ladies Night on Thirsty Thursday.
