
Clark, Boston Help USA Rout Hungary, Advance to World Cup Semifinals

The United States women's national team - featuring Fever All-Stars Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark - rolled to a 108-56 victory over Hungary in the quarterfinals on Thursday in Germany.
The Americans shot 59 percent from the field and went 12-for-23 (52 percent) from 3-point range. Defensively, they limited Hungary to 34 percent shooting and forced 27 turnovers.
Clark had 10 points, a game-high nine assists, three rebounds, and two steals off the bench in 20:25 of action. Team USA was +36 when Clark was on the floor, the highest plus/minus of any player in Thursday's contest.
Boston added eight points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a block in 16:46. The Fever center showed off her ability to stretch the floor, going 2-for-3 from 3-point range.
Five players scored in double figures for the United States in the win. Napheesa Collier led the way with 19 points and seven rebounds, Rhyne Howard scored 15, while Clark, Kahleah Copper, and Jackie Young added 10 points apiece.
Team USA now advances to the semifinals on Saturday in Berlin. They will face the winner of Thursday's game between Australia and Spain.
The Americans are now guaranteed two more games in Germany, as the winners of Saturday's semifinals advance to the championship game on Sunday while the semifinal losers will compete in the third place game.
