Chicago Sky Unveil 2023 Theme Nights and Promotional Giveaways

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky announced today the theme nights and promotional giveaways for 13 home games for this upcoming 2023 season. In addition to watching the Sky at Wintrust Arena, fans will have many exciting opportunities to receive Chicago Sky prizes and giveaways, participate in fan contests and attend special theme night games.

HOME OPENER - Presented by University of Chicago Medicine

To tip off the 2023 season, the Sky will host their Home Opener against Washington presented by the University of Chicago Medicine on Friday, May 26 at 7 p.m. CST at Wintrust Arena. Fans in attendance will also take home the Chicago Sky heroine jersey-shaped rally towel.

GUEST DJ: Former basketball player turned DJ/Producer HoneyLuv will be the highlighted guest DJ for opening night. HoneyLuv has performed at some of the most high-level festivals and venues across the country, including Coachella, EDC, Space Miami, Brooklyn Mirage and many more. She was recently named Future Star of 2023 on BBC Radio 1 and will bring high energy House beats and music to Wintrust Arena. Additional guest DJs will be featured throughout the season.

JUNETEENTH - Presented by Crown Royal

Chicago will host Indiana on Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. CST, where fans will be given a specially designed Juneteenth bag to celebrate freedom for Black Americans and celebrate Black History in America. Bag will be designed by local streetwear designer SOUNDOFF® Design.

PRIDE NIGHT - Presented by Avison Young

On Thursday, June 22 at 7 p.m. CST against Washington, fans in attendance will receive a one-of-a-kind original poster, celebrating LGBTQ+ inclusion and allyship, created by internationally renowned illustrator Lisa Congdon. An exclusive Chicago Sky t-shirt, crafted with Lisa's Congdon's signature art style, will also be available for purchase.

SKY GUY'S BIRTHDAY - Presented by University of Chicago Medicine

The Sky's third theme night of June on Wednesday, June 28 at 11 a.m. CST against Los Angeles will celebrate Sky Guy's birthday. Fans in attendance will receive a Sky Guy birthday poster.

MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT - Presented by Magellan Corporation

To close out the month of June, Chicago will host Los Angeles on Friday, June 30 at 7 p.m. CST to show support and gratitude for all of our active and veteran military members. Those in attendance will receive a Chicago Sky-influenced dog tag to honor the military.

DICK'S SPORTS MATTER NIGHT - Presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods

Against Atlanta on Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. CST, Chicago will celebrate the tournament of champions at our Sports Matter Night! Fans in attendance will receive a Sky-branded t-shirt supporting DICK's Sporting Goods foundation.

WOMEN AND GIRLS CELEBRATION NIGHT - Presented by Horizon Therapeutics

On Tuesday, July 25 against Last Vegas at 6 p.m. CST, the Sky will be hosting a celebration of Women and Girls Night. The game will also be highlighting women and girls in the Chicagoland area, along with a deck of Sky player trading cards. A pre-game panel featuring The Chicago Network and other guests will feature topics such as driving equality for women and the investment opportunity in women's sports.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS NIGHT - Presented by University of Chicago Medicine

To kick off Health & Wellness Month presented by University of Chicago Medicine, the Sky will host its Health and Wellness Night on Tuesday, August 8 at 7 p.m. CST against Minnesota. Each quarter will highlight a different health topic, Sky branded resistance bands will be used by the players for pre-game warmups, and women's wellness highlights will be included throughout the game.

WOMEN'S CANCER AWARENESS NIGHT - Presented by University of Chicago Medicine

On Sunday, August 20 at 4 p.m. CST, the Sky will host Connecticut during Women's Cancer Awareness Night to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and using local resources. A specially designed headband will be given to fans as part of the theme night.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS NIGHT - Presented by Mesirow

For the second year in a row, the Sky will host a Mental Health Awareness Night on Tuesday, August 22 at 7 p.m. CST against Seattle, aiming to educate and provide avenues and resources for mental health spaces. An original Sky affirmation band, along with other mental health resources, will be shared with fans. The Sky will be partnering with creative agency OKRP and Alkeme Health to bring programming to life.

HBCU NIGHT - Presented by 23andMe

On Thursday, August 24 at 7 p.m. CST against Las Vegas, the Chicago Sky will dedicate this night to celebrating the educational excellence and unique culture of the more than 100 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), originally founded as institutions of higher learning for African Americans. Fans will take home a Sky branded HBCU bag, designed by SOUNDOFF® Design.

- MARVEL SUPER HERO™ NIGHT - Presented by Magellan

For the first time in Chicago Sky history, the Sky will debut its first-ever Marvel Super Hero™ Night, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment. An original Marvel character bobblehead will be given to the first 3,000 fans and a custom Marvel Sky poster will be given to all fans at the game on Sunday, September 3 against New York at 2 p.m. CST.

FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT CELEBRATING CHICAGO CULTURE - Presented by Wintrust

The fan favorite is back! The annual Fan Appreciation Game will be on Friday, September 8 at 7 p.m. CST against Minnesota - the last home game of the regular-season. The Sky will be celebrating Skytown all game long with a focus on local food, culture, and art. Giveaway will be 2023 team poster, with a local Chicago spin.
