
Chicago Fire FC Midfielder Robin Lod Called up to Finland Men's National Team for UEFA Nations League Matches

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC midfielder Robin Lod has been called up to the Finland Men's National Team for four upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.
Finland will open play in UEFA Nations League C, Group C1 on the road against San Marino at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 26, at San Marino Stadium in Serravalle. Head Coach Jacob Friis will then lead his squad in two consecutive home matches at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, hosting Belarus at 11 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and Albania at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 3. The Nordic nation will close out the international window on the road against Belarus at 1:45 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Illovsky Rudolf Stadion in Budapest, Hungary.
Lod joined Chicago in December 2025 and has started 16 of the 23 regular season matches he has featured in this year, registering four goals and five assists. At the international level, he made his senior national team debut in 2013 at the age of 20, going on to earn 84 caps across all competitions, including in the 2018, 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, UEFA Nations League B and the 2020 UEFA Euro Championship, for which Finland qualified and competed for the first time.
Chicago embarks on a two-game road stretch in the South, first traveling to face Nashville SC on Saturday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. CT at GEODIS Park. The match will be broadcast globally on Apple TV, and transmitted locally on wlsam.com in English and TUDN Chicago 106.7-HD2 and Uforia by TREBEL app in Spanish. The Fire will then head to North Carolina to face Charlotte FC at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Bank of America Stadium.
