CF Montréal Will Face Santos Laguna in the Concacaf Champions League Round of 16

MONTREAL - Following the draw held by Concacaf on Wednesday evening, in Miami, Florida, CF Montréal will face Mexican club Santos Laguna in the 2022 Concacaf Champions League Round of 16, to be played between February 15-17 (first leg at the Estadio Corona) and February 22-24 (second leg at the Olympic Stadium). As a Pot 1 ranked-club, Montreal will host the deciding match.
The two clubs will meet for a second time in their shared Champions League history. Prior to joining MLS, Montreal previously faced the Torreón-based side in the quarterfinal stage of the 2009 tournament. Following a 2-0 home victory on February 25 at the Olympic Stadium, the Club suffered a 5-2 loss in the return leg, in Mexico, on March 5.
Santos Laguna earned its place in this year's tournament as the 2020-21 Liga MX runner-up.

León (Mexico) vs. Club Deportivo Guastatoya (Guatemala)
Seattle Sounders FC (United States) vs. Motagua (Honduras)
Colorado Rapids (United States) vs. Comunicaciones F.C. (Guatemala)
New York City FC (United States) vs. Santos de Guápiles (Costa Rica)
PUMAS (Mexico) vs. Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica)
New England Revolution (United States) vs. Cavaly A.S. (Haiti)
Cruz Azul (Mexico) vs. Forge FC (Canada)
The Champions League quarterfinals will be played between March 8-10 and March 15-17, while the semifinals will take place between April 5-7 and April 12-14. The tournament final will be held between April 26-28 and May 3-5.
The winning club will earn a berth to the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup as Concacaf's representative.
2022 season tickets are currently on sale, starting at $35 per month, including all regular season home matches. All 2022 Members will receive tickets to the first Champions League match in Montreal.
