Carter Camper Signs with Barons

The Cleveland Barons are proud to announce the signing the of Carter Camper to a playing tender for the 2004-05 season.

The 5'10" , 175 lb center from Rocky River, OH is currently playing with the Honeybaked Ham Midget Major Team in Hazel Park, MI where he currently has 17g and 16 a for 33 pts. Previous to that, Camper played in Cleveland Barons organization over the past six seasons.

Camper, an 1988 birth year, has been recognized as one of the best in the United States in his birth year. He was one of only four 1988 USA players selected to the International Ice Hockey Federation, development festival in Finland that was represented by over 50 countries. Camper has been the National Skills Competitive Winner in 2002 in Philadelphia. In the under 16 national championship ,Camper was the leading scorer while playing for 87 Cleveland Barons squad last March in Marlborough, MA.

Barons Head Coach/GM Tim Alexander says this about Camper: " Carter is an extremely talented young hockey player, except for this year, he has been in the Barons development program for 6 years. Being only a sophomore in high school, we are very excited about having carter for the next three years."

Camper currently attends Rocky River High School where he carries a 3.3 GPA.
