
Beatty & Ijames to Represent Wild Things at 2013 Frontier League All Star Game

Washington, PA - The 2013 Frontier League All-Star rosters have been announced for the July 17 All-Star Game, presented by 84 Lumber. Second baseman CJ Beatty and outfielder/infielder Stewart Ijames will be representing the Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, at CONSOL ENERGY PARK when the game gets underway at 7:05 p.m.
This season, Beatty carries a .299 batting average and leads the team in both homeruns with nine blasts and runs-batted-in (RBI) with 30. Stewart Ijames, a utility man for Washington, leads the team in batting average (.324) and has 7 HR with 21 RBI. Next Wednesday will be the first All-Star Game for both Beatty and Ijames, who are in their first year of independent baseball with the 2013 Wild Things ballclub.
The votes came from all 14 league general managers, field managers, coaching staffs, broadcasters and local members of the media.

Henry, Washington Wild Things OF Stewart Ijames and Evansville Otters OF John Schultz.

The final three players for each side will be announced on Thursday, July 11. These choices will be made by the field managers selected to manage in the All-Star Game. Phil Warren of the Gateway Grizzlies will be the West Division manager and the East Division manager will be the one whose team is in first place following play on Wednesday July 19. In case of a tie for the East Division leader, the same tie breakers that are used for playoff spots will be used to determine the All-Star manager.
