
Bad Ass Coffee to host RiverHawks Holiday Drive for Giving

LOVES PARK, Ill. - Bad Ass Coffee and the Rockford RiverHawks are teaming up to help the needy this Christmas.
The RiverHawks Holiday Drive for Giving is scheduled for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at Bad Ass Coffee, 3885 N. Perryville. The team will collect clothing, toy and food donations for the Rockford Rescue Mission. Co-sponsor Con-Way Freight will have a collection trailer on site.
For every donation made, Bad Ass Coffee will give away a free Kona Coffee and/or juice. In addition, food samples will be available. Rocko, the RiverHawks mascot, and the Bad Ass Donkey will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs. By entering a drawing, fans can win a gift basket, courtesy of Bad Ass Coffee and the RiverHawks.
"In the spirit of giving, it's nice to be able to take an active role in the community by helping the less fortunate," RiverHawks promotions director Marshall Mackinder said.
The RiverHawks are the defending Western Division champions of the Frontier League, an 11-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 15th season in 2007.
