
Audi Field in Conjunction with the Capitol Riverfront BID Present "Movies on the Pitch"

An exciting lineup of free outdoor movies returns to the premier outdoor venue in Capitol Riverfront WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 19, 2022) - Get your tickets, and grab your friends and family for a motion picture experience to remember throughout summer 2022. Audi Field, home of Major League Soccer club D.C. United, and the Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District (BID) have partnered to host a special first-of-its-kind outdoor movie series on Thursday evenings at the professional soccer stadium, located in the Buzzard Point subarea of Capitol Riverfront.
"Movies on the Pitch" will transform Audi Field into an outdoor cinema with four showings of current blockbuster films on the stadium's jumbotron screen. Movie-goers can visit HERE to register for tickets on the following dates:
- June 2 - Spider-Man: No Way Home
- June 30 - Sing 2
- July 28 - A Quite Place 2
- August 25 - In the Heights
"Our vision for our home [Audi Field] has always been to become a gathering place for the community, whether that be to support D.C. United or attend other sporting or entertainment events," says Danita Johnson, President of Business Operations for D.C. United. "We're excited to partner with the Capitol Riverfront BID to bring outdoor movies to Audi Field, showcasing yet another amazing reason for people to consider living or visiting our vibrant neighborhood."

This partnership with Audi Field will provide an experience to remember for residents, employees, and visitors, who can gather for entertainment while maintaining a safe social distance."
The family-friendly experience will begin at 7:00 pm, with gates opening at 5:30pm. Audi Field will offer concessions for purchase during each movie (no outside food or alcohol permitted).
