AquaSox One of 115 Teams Wearing Special 4th of July Hats
July 2, 2015 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Everett AquaSox News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett AquaSox will be one of 115 Minor League Baseball teams wearing special edition "Stars & Stripes" caps from New Era Company to honor America and raise funds for a worthy cause this July 4th during their game against the Hillsboro Hops.
The AquaSox will also auction off the cap each player wears during the game in a silent auction. Fans can bid through the fifth inning on the main concourse behind home plate.
After the game, the winning bidders will claim the hat right off of the players and have the opportunity for an autograph and photo. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the AquaSox Community Fund, which makes donations to local youth sports and after-school organizations.
Minor League Baseball, in conjunction with Major League Baseball Properties, will donate 100 percent of proceeds from its cap sales to Welcome Back Veterans, an organization dedicated to addressing the ongoing needs of military personnel and their families. The AquaSox hat sales will benefit the AquaSox Community Fund. The cap has a red, white and blue version of the AquaSox logo over a flag-waving, striped background.
Tickets for the AquaSox July 4th game are on sale in the front office and online at aquasox.com. The AquaSox host the Hillsboro Hops at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Everett Memorial Stadium. Call (425) 258-3673 or visit the AquaSox office at 3802 Broadway in Everett for more information.
