
Chicago Blitz Joins AIF

Chicago, Ill (October 16, 2014) - The American Indoor Football (AIF) league has announced the addition of the Chicago Blitz for the 2015 season. The Blitz will play their home games in the Odeum Expo Center.
In their first year, the Blitz barely missed the playoffs with a 7-3 record. They went 4-1 at home. Chicago placed three players on the 2014 All-CIFL including special team player of the year K Julie Harshbarger. "The Chicago Blitz are excited to join the AIF and to be a part of the Great Lakes competitive footprint," Said Owner Mike Oliver, "I'm extremely proud of last year, the challenge will be once again put on us, that's the pressure my team will thrive on."
"Mike Oliver has done an outstanding job with his football team and we are excited to bring them onboard in the AIF. It is important for expansion teams to fit within our geographical footprint. "Said AIF CEO John Morris. "The Chicago area is home to more than 9.5 million people and fits well into our geographic footprint. The Chicago Blitz brings to three new teams that the AIF has added in the last week, along with The Saginaw Sting and the ASI Panthers. The AIF is primed to have an ultra-competitive 2015 season.
