April 29, 2010 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Belleville Bulls News Release
Belleville Bulls defenceman Shawn Lalonde has been named the OHL All-Star Third Team. The OHL All-Star Teams were selected by the OHL's General Managers. Players received five points for a first place vote, three for a second place vote, and one for a third.
Lalonde led Belleville in scoring this season with 13 goals and 56 points and participated in the 2009 Subway Super Series and 2010 OHL All-Star Classic. The Orleans, Ontario native is the Bulls all-time leader in career regular season goals by a defenceman. Lalonde was selected in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks and signed an entry level contract with the team in December.
Following the conclusion of his season in Belleville, Lalonde joined the AHL's Rockford IceHogs where he recorded one goal and one assist in eight regular season games. Lalonde was recalled by the Blackhawks following the elimination of Rockford in the AHL playoffs earlier this week.
