CableOne will air the games delayed the following day at 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm, and, new this year, Friday games will be aired live.
Joe O'Donnell will return as voice of the Steelheads for his second full season. Bart Hull will join O'Donnell in the booth for home games as color commentator. John MacMillan and Mark Broz will serve as rink-side reporters.
O'Donnell will also be the host of the Bud Light Idaho Steelheads Hockey Show on KTIK every weeknight from 6:00-7:00 pm. The show will feature the Steelheads Player of the Week, AHL and NHL Affiliate Updates, a special co-host every Wednesday, a Where Are They Now feature with previous Steelheads player as well as national, local, and youth sports and hockey coverage, and listener contest prizes. Select shows will be broadcast live from the Piper Pub and Grill in downtown Boise.
Hull, son of Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Hull and younger brother of NHL All-Star Brett Hull, returns to the Steelheads after filling the color commentator role with then play-by-play man Rob Simpson from 1997-2001. Simpson and Hull also produced and directed the Pepsi Face Off television show aired on KTRV FOX 12.
Hull said of his return, "I was here for day one of the Steelheads and I'm happy to be back ten years later. It's exciting to have watched the team evolve from a start up team to the championship team it is now."
Hull was a running back for the Boise State football team from 1987-90, played in the Canadian Football League for Ottawa and Saskatchewan from 1991-94, and from 1994-95 played under brother Bobby Hull Jr.'s direction for the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey team. In addition, he suited up for a handful of Idaho Stallions arena football contests and as well as Steelheads games when the team was shorthanded. Bart currently lives in Boise with his wife Traci and child Dylan.
