SALEM, VA-The Salem Avalanche and Frederick Keys were rained out Monday night at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium.
The game got started a shortly after 7:10 p.m. due to threatening skies over Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Salem recorded two outs in the first inning behind starting pitcher Matt Albers before the game was sent into a delay and eventually cancelled.
The two teams will play a doubleheader beginning Tuesday at 6:07. The first game will be a nine-inning affair to make up the game that did not finish. The second game will be a seven-inning affair.
The Keys will play three games in Salem and have Thursday off before traveling back to Frederick for a three game weekend series with the Potomac Nationals. Tickets are still available by calling 1-877-8-GO-KEYS or visiting www.frederickkeys.com.
