October 8, 2012 - California League (CalL1)
Inland Empire 66ers News Release
San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers are launching their second annual Trick or Treat with Bernie contest, which will allow fans of the team the chance to submit a photo of their child in their Halloween costume on Facebook. The two (2) winners will be selected via online votes from 66ers fans and staff picks. The winning children will be able to enjoy a once in a life time experience by trick or treating with the Inland Empire's most lovable mascot, Bernie, on Halloween Night, Wednesday October 31, 2012.
66ers Creative Director, Robert D. Peters said of last year's event, "We brought Bernie to two locations in the Inland Empire last year on Halloween and the joy on the face of each kid made it all worth it. One of the kids didn't know Bernie was coming and to see his surprise that Bernie was actually at his house really justified our community relations efforts. We're looking forward to bringing Bernie back out again this year and hopefully we will receive even more picture submissions this time around."
Parents and/or guardians wanting to enter their child into the contest must submit a photo of their child, in costume, onto the 66ers official Facebook page. Contestants must live within 20 miles of San Manuel Stadium. The age range is 2 - 13 years old. The deadline to submit your photo is Friday, October 26, 2012 at noon. Winner will be decided by a combination of online fan voting and 66ers staff picks.
The 2013 season will kick off on Thursday April 4, 2013 at San Manuel Stadium when the 66ers take on the Modesto Nuts. Inland Empire fans can now purchase season ticket and group packages for the 2013 season. Tickets can be purchased by calling 909-888-9922.
