April 24, 2025 - PORTLAND, ME - When the final horn officially signaled the end of the 2024-25 season on Sunday, April 13th, emotions filled the air inside the Cross Insurance Arena. Mariners players saluted a record crowd of 6,361 and then embraced one another - hugs and tears aplenty as if to say they weren't ready for the season to end. April 23, 2025 - Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins fell to the Springfield Thunderbirds 2-1 in game one of the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs. Forward Oliver Wahlstrom scored the lone goal for Providence on the power play. Springfield leads the best-of-three series 1-0. April 23, 2025 - Springfield, MA - The American Hockey League announced today, April 23, that Providence Bruins goaltender Michael DiPietro is the winner of the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Award as the AHL's outstanding goaltender for the 2024-25 season. The award was voted on by coaches, players, and members of the media in each of the league's 32 cities. April 19, 2025 - Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins outlasted the Bridgeport Islanders 3-2 in the final game of the regular season on Saturday night at the Amica Mutual Pavilion. Forward Vinni Lettieri notched a goal and an assist, while Dans Locmelis posted two assists. Matthew Poitras and John Farinacci found the back of the net as well.
