May 14, 2024 - (York, Pa.) - The Long Island Ducks defeated the York Revolution 12-4 on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series at WellSpan Park. Long Island took a 2-0 lead in the second inning thanks to a two-run home run to left center field off the bat of Frank Schwindel against Revolution starting pitcher Will Stewart. Sierra Becomes First Boxcars Player to Have Contract Purchased
May 14, 2024 - Hagerstown, MD - Magneuris Sierra has become the first player in Hagerstown Flying Boxcars history to have his contract purchased. It was announced today that the outfielder had his contract purchased by Monclova of the Mexican League. The leadoff hitter for the Flying Boxcars made his mark on the team early, leading the team in batting average (.333) and hits (21) with 1 home run on the season and 8 runs batted in. May 13, 2024 - (Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks today announced that right-handed pitcher Tyler Zuber has had his contract purchased by the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He will report to the team's Triple-A affiliate, the Durham Bulls, in North Carolina. "Tyler did an exceptional job for us as our closer," said Ducks Manager Lew Ford. May 12, 2024 - HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point Rockers pounded out 14 hits in posting a 9-2 win over Southern Maryland in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Truist Point. The Rockers won the series by a 2-1 count. Former North Carolina All-American Colin Moran had his best day as a Rocker since joining the club earlier in the week.
