January 2, 2024 - Baron Robison, perhaps best known locally as the KickinCancer guy, has joined the full-time staff at Volcanoes Stadium to lead the marketing and promotions efforts. Robison originally moved to the Keizer/Salem area in 1996 to take co-ownership of Arby's on River Road. Almost immediately success followed with growth in sales and profits each year 1997-2000. Baron was named Manager of the Year for the Seattle/Portland region 1997-98 along with Local Store Marketing Manager of the Year 1999-20.

December 22, 2023 - The Mavericks Independent Baseball League announced that Kurt Takahashi, a pitcher for the 1997 inaugural season Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will be taking over the managerial duties for the Campesinos de Salem-Keizer.
Kurt Takahashi grew up in the Central Valley of California and has been involved in baseball for as long as he can remember. He played for Monache High School in Porterville, CA and was drafted in 1995 while at Fresno City College playing under Coach Ron Scott by the San Francisco Giants in the 19th round. Takah... November 2, 2023 - Team USA National Championship player and 6th Round Oakland Athletics draft pick, Trace Loehr, will be conducting clinics at Volcanoes Stadium beginning Sunday, November 19th. The sessions will be open to all middle school and high school
age players. Middle school players will begin at Noon until 1:30pm. High school players will follow from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. The sessions will be held at the Volcanoes Stadium Indoor Training Facility.

October 3, 2023 - Continuing their efforts to update and improve Volcanoes Stadium, the Walker family who built the Stadium in 1997 and still own the facility, announced plans to install all new LED Stadium Field Lighting. The change will result in an estimated 66.5% energy usage savings! The project received approval by the Oregon Energy Trust. Eco Green Solutions won the bid and was awarded the project. Work is slated to begin this week and is expected to be completed by mid-October just ahead of the artificial turf to be installed later in... Full Story
