Award-Winning Producer/Director Mike Tollin Acquires Jackalopes

April 24, 2024 - GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado - The Grand Junction Jackalopes baseball club announced today that film and television producer/director Mike Tollin has acquired the club playing in the historic Pioneer Baseball League, an MLB Partner League. Tollin, an avid baseball fan, has won four Emmy Awards and two Peabody Awards and was nominated for an Academy Award for a film about Hank Aaron. Jackalopes Draft Gilman out of PBL Tryout Camp

February 12, 2024 - The first Pioneer League Tryout Camp of 2024 is in the books. The Grand Junction Jackalopes selected right-handed pitcher Nathan Gilman with the fifth pick. "Gilman was #1 on our list." Jackalopes manager Chris Knabenshue said. "I was surprised he was there with the 5th pick." Gilman, 26, got a taste of the PBL in 2022, pitching 5.1 innings for the Idaho Falls Chuckers. "I can't put it into words how excited I am to be coming to Grand Junction," Gilman said. Jackalopes Sign Two Former CMU Mavericks

December 14, 2023 - Two former Mavericks are coming "home" to the Grand Valley as professionals. The Grand Junction Jackalopes are pleased to announce the signing of Conrad Villafuerte and Matthew Turner to the 2024 roster. Villafuerte and Turner played collegiately at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. Villafuerte from 2019-2022, and Turner from 2018-2022. Fruita Native Sackett Signed

December 6, 2023 - The Grand Junction Jackalopes are pleased to announce the signing of Fruita, Colorado native Druw Sackett to the 2024 roster. "Your baseball journey never goes how you want it to, and having the opportunity to continue to play baseball is special," Sackett said. The infielder played his final two collegiate seasons for Division One North Dakota State University. In 2023 he hit .298 with 15 home runs, a team-best 53 RBI, and 51 runs scored.
