Austin Czarnik Returns to Grand Rapids

April 18, 2024 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Thursday reassigned center Austin Czarnik to the Grand Rapids Griffins. Czarnik competed in 16 games with the Red Wings during his most recent call up from March 14-April 16, showing six penalty minutes and an even plus-minus rating. In total, Czarnik appeared in 34 games with Detroit this season, the most NHL contests he's played in since the 2018-19 season with Calgary (54). April 18, 2024 - DES MOINES, Iowa -- Matt Luff's two-goal game and Jonatan Berggren's shootout-winning tally pushed the Grand Rapids Griffins past the Iowa Wild in a 3-2 shootout victory at Wells Fargo Arena on Friday. Sebastian Cossa owned a .931 save percentage (27-of-29), which helped him tie Jimmy Howard's record of 10 consecutive road contests with a point from the 2005-06 campaign. Detroit Reassigns Edvinsson and Aston-Reese to Griffins

April 17, 2024 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday reassigned defenseman Simon Edvinsson and left wing Zach Aston-Reese to the Grand Rapids Griffins. Edvinsson suited up for 14 games during his most recent call up with Detroit from March 19-April 16. In total, Edvinsson competed in a career-best 16 outings with the Red Wings and posted two points (1-1-2), four penalty minutes, an even plus-minus rating and an average of 18:15 of ice time.
