August 1, 2023 - (DANVILLE, IL) - Now in their 35th year of playing summer collegiate wood bat baseball, the Danville Dans recorded their 1,000th regular season win with a 9-5 victory over the Rex Baseball club. The Dans overall regular season record is 1,000-716-1, for a .582 winning percentage.
The Dans first win was in their debut game as the Danville Highlanders (the name changed in 1989). They swept a doubleheader against the Lincoln Collegiates on Saturday, June 11, 1988. The record that first year was 16-29, one of only four season... Full Story
July 22, 2023 - (DANVILLE, IL) - Although Carter Krawchuck was only starting his second game in nine appearances for the Danville Dans this summer, this start was a complete 180 from the last one. His first start last week in Springfield had him giving up the first six runs over 3.1 innings in an eventual 16-7 loss to the Lucky Horseshoes.

July 9, 2023 - DANVILLE, IL - Danville Dans manager Eric Coleman recorded a milestone 300th victory as skipper of the Dans on Saturday night with a 12-4 win at the Alton River Dragons. Coleman has been manager of the Dans since the 2014 season.
Coleman's overall record with the Dans is 300-216 for a .581 winning percentage. He has led the team to post-season action in seven of his nine seasons, including 2023 by virtue of the team winning the first-half title in the Wabash River Division.

June 13, 2023 - DANVILLE, IL - Although he didn't get into the lineup during his first series with the Reds over the weekend, Ricky Karcher made his MLB debut count. Last night, Karcher came into the game in the 10th inning with his Cincinnati Reds leading 5-4 and a runner on second base. But the Danville Dan persevered and record his first save in his first game as a big leaguer.
