April 24, 2024 - (Hershey, PA) - The American Hockey League announced today that Hunter Shepard of the Hershey Bears is the winner of the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award as the AHL's outstanding goaltender for the 2023-24 season. The award was voted on by coaches, players and members of the media in each of the league's 32 cities.

Häman Aktell, 25, appeared in 55 games with Hershey this season, scoring 11 points (2g, 9a). He scored the club's first goal of the season on Oct. 15 versus Cleveland and also posted a goal on Apr. 13 at Wilkes-Barre/Scraton.
