The Fort Worth Cats answered a three-run, first-inning Senators' rally with a five-run bottom half, and didn't look back from there en route to a 12-5 annihilation of Jackson. CF Carlos Adolfo was 3-for-5, including a double, his 12th homer and three RBIs. LF Tony Mota also homered, scoring three times on the night. DH John Allen doubled twice, drove in two and scored three times on the night. With 1B Jordan Foster's 3-for-5 night, the 3-6 hitters in the Cats' lineup were a combined 12-for-18 with nine RBIs and ten runs. Dan Grybash got the win for the Cats, allowing three unearned runs on six hits over six, striking out seven.

COASTAL BEND 3, EL PASO 1 @ Robstown, Texas. Time: 2:37 ATT: 2,155 W: Brandon Pello (4-0) L: Trevor Marcotte (0-3) S: James Lira (3) HR: None

Elliott Shaw and the Coastal Bend bullpen pitched their way to a 3-1 win over El Paso. Shaw pitched six innings of one-hit ball, allowing an unearned run, but didn't figure in the decision as he left with the game tied. Brandon Pello and James Lira combined to pitch three perfect innings of baseball, with Pello getting the win after notching two innings. Lira got his third save of the year by pitching a perfect ninth. CF Mario Thomas was 1-for-3 for Coastal Bend, stealing two bases and scoring. Trevor Marcotte pitched well for the Diablos, allowing just one earned run over seven and a third, striking out seven and yielding just five hits. He wound up with his third loss, though, thanks to an error that allowed an additional run to score.
