FCC Travels to Toronto FC II to End Regular-Season Slate

October 11, 2017 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Cincinnati News Release

FC Cincinnati at Toronto FC II UPCOMING

FCC plays its regular-season finale this Sat., Oct. 14 at Toronto FC II with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The match will be aired on WSTR.

PLAYOFF SCENARIOS

FCC holds onto eighth place in the Eastern Conference table with 43 points and an 11-10-10 record.

While FCC can control their destiny with a win, there are a few scenarios at play.

Orlando City B (10-9-12) is one point behind FCC with 42.

An Orlando City B loss this Thurs. at Tampa Bay Rowdies (50 pts.) would mean a playoff berth for FCC based on points.

An Orlando City B tie would also secure a playoff berth for FCC, regardless if the Orange and Blue fall to Toronto FC II Sat. due to the first tiebreaker, which is total wins.

Should Orlando City B win over Tampa Bay, FCC would be in a must-win situation as Bethlehem Steel FC (12-12-7) currently holds the edge in total wins.

Teams above FCC can affect the Orange and Blue's final position should FCC win Sat.

Matches to watch will be New York Red Bulls II's (44 pts.) road match at Rochester (50 pts.) and Bethlehem Steel FC contest against Saint Louis FC this Sun at. BST's Goodman Stadium.

ABOUT TORONTO FC II

Toronto FC II is 6-18-7 with 25 points and have one win in their last five fixtures.

TFC II suffered a 4-2 loss last week against Bethlehem Steel FC.

Shaan Hundal is the team leader in goals with six after putting away the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Louisville City FC two weeks ago.

Jordan Hamilton is second on the squad with five.

Angelo Cavalluzzo has made 19 appearances in goal and posted six shutouts while making 79 saves.

FCC will look to defend a 3-0-0 series record against Toronto FC II.

The Orange and Blue posted a 1-0 win at Nippert Stadium in May with Tyler Polak finding Danni König for the game-winning goal.

HILDEBRANDT BACK ON TOP

Mitch Hildebrandt totaled five saves last week and has accumulated 98 saves on the year to jump over Moise Pouaty (Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC) and grab the USL lead.

He has seven clean sheets to tie for 11th while conceding 44 goals for a 1.47 goals-against average.

Djiby is tied for 11th with 11 goals on the year and tied for 12th with 54 shots taken.

Danni König is tied for 14th with 10 goals.

Kenney Walker, a Player of the Week following a two assist and one-goal effort against New York Red Bulls II, is tied for 12th in the league with six assists.

LAST WEEK RECAP

FCC suffered a 4-0 loss to Ottawa Fury FC Sun., losing by a four-goal margin for the second time this year.

The loss was the first for FCC against Fury FC with the Canadian side joining the USL this year and the series goes to 1-1-0.
