Orlando Predators WR Brandon Thompkins Leaps into the Endzone

ORLANDO - The Orlando Predators have agreed to terms on a new contract with versatile wide receiver Brandon Thompkins, the franchise has announced.
In his first season with the Predators, Thompkins (5-10, 185, Arkansas State) racked up 35 total touchdowns while finding the end zone five different ways. The fleet-footed receiver managed touchdowns receiving, rushing, and passing, while also scoring on kickoff returns and a missed field goal return. He finished first in the Arena Football League with 3,342 all-purpose yards on the season, outpacing the competition by a wide margin of 31 yards per game.
Thompkins earned Second Team All-Arena honors as a kick returner in 2015 after setting a single-season franchise record by gaining 1,854 yards with five touchdowns on 89 kickoff returns. He hauled in 100 receptions for 1,266 yards and 23 touchdowns, adding 160 yards with five scores on the ground. He also threw a three-yard touchdown pass and returned a missed field goal 52 yards for a score.
"Brandon is truly an electrifying player with big play ability," said Head Coach Rob Keefe. "He proved last season that he's a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. I know our fans will be excited to see him back in a Predators uniform in 2016."
Thompkins entered the Arena Football League as a rookie with the Spokane Shock in 2011, where he played four games under then-head coach Rob Keefe. He earned a starting role in 2012 and finished second on the team with 76 receptions for 907 yards and 26 touchdowns while adding six more rushing scores.
Thompkins was reunited with Coach Keefe as a member of the Utah Blaze in 2013, where he also played under current Predators offensive coordinator Matthew Sauk. He gained 345 yards and four scores on 27 catches before re-joining Spokane midway through the season. He continued on to deliver 912 yards and 16 touchdowns on 65 receptions during the remainder of the season.
In 2014, Thompkins (5-10, 185, Arkansas State) began the year with the Spokane Shock before joining the LA KISS midway through the season. In total, he delivered 78 receptions for 888 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 348 yards and two scores on 17 kickoff returns.
A native of West Palm Beach, Thompkins prepped at Palm Beach Lakes High School. He played collegiately at Arkansas State University, where he set school records for kickoff returns (123) and kickoff return yardage (2,696).
