Micheaux Robinson Returns to Sharks

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced Friday that Defensive Back Micheaux Robinson has been assigned to the Jacksonville Sharks' roster. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Robinson, (5'9", 185) is set to start his seventh season with the Arena Football League and sixth with Jacksonville Sharks. "The Pit-Bull" is Jacksonville's all-time career franchise leader in tackles, interceptions, and pass breakups. In 2014 he started all 18 games totaling 82 tackles, 22 pass breakups and five interceptions. One of the original Sharks from the 2010 inaugural season, Robinson will compete in a veteran defensive backfield for a roster spot in the spring.

Robinson got his start in the AFL with the Orlando Predators in 2007 where he recorded 38 tackles and a fumble recovery. After joining the Sharks for the franchise's inaugural season in 2010, he earned Second-Team All-Arena honors after compiling 23 pass breakups and eight interceptions. In 2011 "The Pit-Bull" earned First Team All-Arena honors recording 114.5 tackles, 11 interceptions and broke the league record with 46 pass breakups. Robinson spent a split season between the Sharks and Philadelphia Soul in 2012, the veteran totaled 64.5 tackles, six interceptions and four fumble recoveries.

Born and raised in Ohio, Robinson attended Otterbein University where he earned D3football.com All-America Honorable Mention in 2003.
