August 21, 2014 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Arizona Sundogs News Release

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs announced today their request and approval from the Central Hockey League, to suspend operations for the 2014-15 season, effective immediately. The franchise will remain a member in good standing in the CHL, despite not participating in this season, in hopes of keeping Sundogs hockey in Prescott Valley for the 2015-16 season.

"On behalf of the ownership and the Fain Family I want to thank all of our fans for their support of the team over the past eight years," said Brad Fain, Majority Owner of the Sundogs. "It has been a wonderful experience in my life to be a part of such a great organization and dedicated staff. In life we must learn to be all-in emotionally while at the same time, be dispassionate enough to realize the importance of being economically sustainable. The enormity of the decision weighed heavily on all of us as the final decision was made to cease operations for the 2014-15 season. Our desire is to return to the ice with the full support of the community bringing great entertainment and hockey back to the greatest fans. We are not saying good bye, we'll see you soon back on the ice."

The team announced that all corporate partners and season ticket holders who have secured their advertising and season seats will be issued a full refund within the next 30 days. The Sundogs ask for everyone's patience during this transition and ask that you allow time for checks to be issued and mailed accordingly.

Fans are encouraged to continue following them on their website and social media pages, when they announce a sale on all merchandise in the coming days.

All players currently under contract for next season or whose CHL rights were held by the Sundogs, will immediately become free agents.

The Arizona Sundogs organization would like to thank all of their fans for their support given over the past eight seasons and all the great moments shared. The Sundogs office may still be reached at (928) 759-6600 or by emailing them at info@arizonasundogs.com with any credible questions.
